Which one of the wires on the brake switch is power and negative

You can determine that polarity with a voltage test meter. Or the negative is usually black and positive is usually red but it could be another color.


They're usually both negative. When you press the brake pedal and activate the switch it completes the circuit to ground. Hope that helps! Jim
