2002 caddy deville no start no crank

Help please no start no crank just clicking noises
coming from fuse box under seat and from the gear
shifter when I try to start all light on dash go off the
the battery light and service engine light stays on
the battery is at 12.3 volts

Try jumping it to start, 12.3 volts is low. May be the battery, should have it checked.
