try to follow them , one will be grounded the other will go to the alt. or starter , a multi tester would tell you if you have one

There should be a + or - stamped on the battery. Also the positive battery post is slightly larger than the negative. The cable that goes to ground (bolts directly to the engine or frame) is the negative and the cable that goes to the starter solenoid is the positive.

And the smaller diameter cable connector hole will be the negative. The larger diameter hole is the positive. Same as on the battery terminals.. Be careful to get it right the first time.

That's correct. Both cables blue in color have to be aftermarket, when originals are color coded red or black. But if they were ever tightened onto the battery correctly, the smaller is negative, the larger is positive.

Everybody, Thank You for Your answers, hooked it up correctly, it cranked a minute, and fired right up, had to get it out of the barn to repair a roof truss that split cracked and dropped some, it is all corrected now, The cables are marked, and in the near future (by Friday)will be a red positive cable on the V , I like this group, and all the information,Again Thank You All for the input very appreciated.
