I bought a 2004 Ford Taurus as recommended by CarGurus. I made specifications, but I failed to mention that I wanted the car to have an air conditioner that worked for longer than 1 month. Now, I have to pay $800 to have air conditioner repaired. Does a prospective car buyer really need to specify that they want the car to have an air conditioner that works for more than a month after date of purchase?

Maybe the seller did not know that it would only last a month. I would try to refill the refrigerant with a $15.00 can from a box store before giving it to a repair shop.
