I have a 1962 galaxie 4-speed trans.  The trans is stuck in 1st gear but not in the first
gear position.  How do you get it loose?

If you can mash the clutch and pull it out of gear,you have a internal issue such as pressure plate or throw out bearing are bad,will the clutch mash in and feel pressure?
