Overdrive light & shiftn gears

My mom hit a pole nfront of a store & since then
tbe ovrdrive light stays on. Also it stays n drive
shifting. Needing 2 find out how 2 fix the problem

There should be a switch or button on the shifter inside the SUV to turn the O/D on or off. Also someone near the center console. I am not sure what you mean by stays in drive. Do you mean just third gear?
