why in my 2004 crown vic cant I get my turn signals to blink unless My foot is on the brake and im using the signals manually

The flasher relay is probably bad. It is located within the light control module (LCM). DO a google search for crown vic. no signal flasher.

eliminate crossed filaments first in bulbs, note any other thing happening during function check, then go for the electronic flasher. multifunction switch (lever) can be wrangled around sometimes to help diagnosis. wet climate turns the metal green inside them quite often. you could take the older ones apart to clean and add dielectric but they are about 60 bucks.
