Cannot shift after installing slave cylinder?

I have an 1987 GMC sierra 2500 4WD with a granny gear 4 speed manual transmission. On my way home one
day i lost the use of my clutch completely so i had to drive it home without clutch, found that the slave cylinder had
blown a seal so I replaced the slave and got the feel of my clutch back to normal. Now the problem I'm having is
that the Shifter wont go into any gears, even when the engine is off, the truck is stuck in neutral position. Any ideas
on what to do about this?

if its a hydraulic slave did you bleed it properly would be my first question.

yes i imagine i did it right, that was what i first suspected but after bleeding it four or five different times for probably 15 minutes each time. i concluded that it probably wasnt that.

On my 1985 GMC 2500 I had to tilt the slave on a 45 degree angle to bleed it properly.

where is the speedometer wires to the tranny located or where do any speedometer lines, cables or wires hook up period?? curious cause my 99 GMC Sierra has no speed gauge and wont shift outta low gear....
