Ok so I'm 18 and in love with older trucks but I
have a 2001 gmc sierra stepside 5 speed 2wd and
I'm looking to trade it for a 1983 gmc sierra auto
4x4 I really want to see what people with more
information have to say do you think it's a good
deal I mean I want to make sure bc I have loved the
85 chevy silverado since I was 7 and wanted one I
guess I'm just wondering what everyone thinks
what are the pros and cons of both let me know
what you guys or gals think plz and thank you

I think that you would like it at first but start wishing you had your newer truck back later down the road. Although those older Chevy trucks are good looking trucks they are still a dime a dozen. I would rather keep my newer Chevy and save money and buy an older Chevy.


look for the 1987 model. The last year of that Chevy style. They are a bit smoother.


The older the better- go back, back, back- find a good truck that somebody has put some time and money into, but now they need cash, bad- the old trucks with the carbs are the REAL DEAL-


There is nothing wrong with the older trucks, just buy a good one that has not been abused. The old trucks are easy to work on.
