2009 Audi A4 turbo charger

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Audi A4 was diagnosed with a bad turbo charger by Audi Service. Was
gong to drive it to shop for repair but now the car won't start.  Battery is fine but
it sounds like no fuel getting to the engine to turn it over. Could this be due to
the bad turbocharger or is there another problem (fuel pump, for example) that
I'm not aware of?

Have it towed to their Audi Service. They did the diagnostic.

Going through what I think it's the same issue now with my A4 b6. It appears to me the reason why mine won't start is because a turbo is getting flooded with coolant and the system gets airlocked somehow. I stumbled upon slightly pulling the engine temperature sensor (upper 4 pin one on back of motor) toward the front of the motor to unseat it ever-so-slightly and release air pressure. Then the motor starts right up as if there were no problems at all. Car heats up very quickly so be very careful when releasing pressure if it was already running because hot steam may come out and also be careful running the car so you don't blow a head gasket or any of the other catastrophic consequences that come with overheating your motor but this will enable you to drive a short distance if not more. I was able to drive my 1.8 t 40 miles constantly monitoring the engine oil temperature and block temperature (via live data with OBDeleven) with hood popped and single-digit temps to get me to safety where I finally had a phone signal and could wait for a tow truck someplace warm. Again, I do not recommend anyone else do this unless your safety is at stake and you mildly know what you're doing because chances are YOU WILL blow your motor.
