What is the problem with my AC unit in my 2008 Honda Civic. The air blows cool for 3-5 minutes then hot.

I have a 2008 Honda Civic. The AC blows cool air for 3-5 minutes. For the rest of the day,
it blows hot air. I have taken this car all over memphis, including the dealership. I have
been told that there are no leaks in the system. No one seems to know what the problem
is.

Just throwing out 2 possibilities here. Maybe the mechanics are looking in the wrong place. Have you considered that your problem might be rooted in the electrical system? A weak, on- the-way-out alternator can screw things up in more ways than you can imagine. You might want to test yours. If the alternator is OK remember sometimes an electrical re-set works wonders. Disconnect the battery overnight & see what happens in the morning. These steps cost little or nothing, can't hurt & might help.
