Asked by seadog8165 Nov 09, 2019 at 11:18 PM about the 2004 Acura RSX FWD with Leather

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 rsx  bases moddle with I believe
the type s stuff swapped into the car has 6
speed clutch. And leather  where are the vin
numbers located on the block? so I can
identify if it’s a k20a2 or a3 and do the
transmissions have vins too I’d like to see that
too if they exist I’m getting car inspected soon

Also the cover on top of the engine is missing
so I can’t tell what kinda vtec it has that’s why
I need the block identifications

And the truck lid has missing badges

The k20a2 is performance vtec
K20a3 is eco vtec correct me if I’m wrong

If it has a 6 sp then it's probably a type S. The tag is easily visible between the tranny and engine where they bolt together. look to the left of intake tube and down. You will see the tag. Does it have a 160 mph speedo? does it say type S on the door sill? it would be EZ to change the floormats they too say TYPE S. As for badges some people just remove them? It would be more likely to add the "S" when you really don't have one...

Just bothered to look at your pic . SRY it's a base model . You sure you have a six spd?
