1997 Pontiac Sunfire

My car started dying periodically
yesterday..it will start back up but has
no power and dues when I push in the
gas..it also started making a high
pitched squeal  or whine at the same
time..any help with diagnosing will
help..thank you in advance

A high pitch squeal could be coming from the serpentine belt. You may have a pulley or the AC clutch could be frozen up. Check to see if the belt is spinning the pulleys.
