Most likely, your gas engine has an exhaust restriction, like a clogged catalytic converter; if so, you have a check engine light on due to misreading's by the O2 sensor. It could be a failing fuel pump, clogged filter, dirty injectors. The battery is now being used more than it should, causing the CHS light to come on. You need to have this serviced before you overstress the hybrid system and cause more damage.
