I have 2003 mercury mountaineer and when i turn
left or right like srubbing from rear end. Going
down road drives fine. When turn left or right like
somethimg locked up on rear.

Whoops, I had the same thing happen to my old mountaineer turned out the limited slip unit went bye bye, had to overhaul it, my own fault really I never serviced the differential as I should have, just one of those things that gets away sometimes.
