Car not accelerating normally

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello I have a 2002 Mazda Tribute automatic 2wd
v6. I just recently replaced a bad ect sensor. Ive
now noticed when pressing the gas pedal to the
floor the rpms only slowly got up to 2900. Cannot
get them to go above even when quickly pressind
the gas. The car seems to struggle to go above
60mph. Which is not good since I drive a lot of
highway and the ability to "floor it" has prevented
several accidents for mw in the past.

There are no lights on so, I am at a loss as to what
to do. I would like to try and fix it myself as Ive
already put about 2000 into it in repairs along this
year. Any help on where to begin troubleshooting.
Would be excellent

Have you checked the exhaust back pressure? You can buy a kit from most parts stores. If you have access to a live data scanner you might want to check the actual sensor readings just make sure they are sending the correct signals.
