Check engine light is on & sometimes blow smoke when startinf

I had a slow oil leak & between oil changes the oil
got really low. Now the check engine light is on &
sometimes smokes out the exhaust when starting.

If the smoke is blue it's burning oil. Most likely the oil has contaminated the catalytic converter or the oxygen sensors or both. I wouldn't put a lot of money in it. The engine is tired. Sounds like it's near the end of it's life. HTH. -Jim
