I believe you are saying that you averaged 451 mile on a full tank and then only 188 miles when the tank was refilled; that is big drop in mileage. According to Ford the Focus average is 30mpg city and 40mpg highway, assuming that you have the 12.4 gallon tank and combined mileage is, say, 35mpg your average on a full tank should be 400 to 434 miles, depending on driving conditions. If your first average was 451 miles, 188 is an average of bit over 15mpg. I would go back to the dealer with this problem, the car is under warranty.
