2004 Chrysler sebring 2.7 overheating.
Ok so my Chrysler sebring is over heating and I'm at a loss
here. And I will explain why. When I first got the car had no
problems with it except the cat. Which I'm not to worried
about that. But 5 days pass and starts to over heat.so do
some research and find that I have to change the water
pump. Did not realize how big of a job this was so a week
goes by and during this period a new water pump was put
on and new chain and new tensions pin new thermostat
(stant brand advance auto).ok so everything went good ran
in a bit seemed ok. Took it for a drive the very next day.
Over heating. So I take it to a shop. (At this point I was
pretty aggravated.) They checked a bunch of stuff what
they fount was that the stant thermostat wouldn't work. So
they got an oem thermostat from Chrysler, they put it on
and got the coolant flowing agein. They told me that I had
gotten a lot of the air out of the system .the used there
vacuum pump and didn't get a hole lot of air out. Then they
had to put a new coolant cap on. It seemed to work. But it
didn't. But a can drive the car now for about an hour or so
seems like. Befor it starts to overheat. The machenic told
me the only thing left to do is replace the radiator. All
things he's checked. No problems with the head gasket
new water pump new thermostat. No air in the system. Has
plenty of coolant. (The coolant is the Chrysler brand, its
what they recommend at AutoZone).
But I'm at a loss anybody have any suggestions on this.
