Is there a way to take apart the mirror and tighten it up inwardly?

Asked by Jun 09, 2017 at 02:53 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche LTZ 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I push the button to fold in the mirrors drivers side mirror will not fold all the way in, even though I hear the motor trying to get it to fold. Also, the mirror is a little loose to begin with. I can grab it and jiggle it as if a screw on the inside is loose. I'm not sure how to take the mirror apart and look at the inside without breaking it. Thanks
