Subaru Crosstrek tongue hitch weight limit

Question type: General

Hi so I've got a 2014 crosstrek and I have an ecohitch on it that has a 525
pound tongue weight limit on it but the car manual says 200 pounds. I was
planning on buying a dirt bike carrier for my dirt bike which weighs 231 pounds
and with the carrier together it is 281 pounds which well exceeds the 200 pound
limit. I'm also wondering if this tongue weight limit is for the stock subaru hitch
or if that is what the rear suspension and car can handle. Does anyone think
that the car could handle that weight?
