Navigation system does not show traffic info

I have a 2013 hybrid Avalon with navigation.  The
system worked until about 3 years after I purchased
it. Now no traffic information is shown on the screen
(used to show red, yellow,& green lines along the
highway to indicate slow traffic depending on the
color).  It still gives turn by turn directions.  Any idea
how to fix this problem?

2 things: take to dealer to see if its due for a new software update (probably after 4 years, my Dodge Charger 2013 had 4 updates since it came out new) and second, check your Navigation settings to see if it was turned off or disabled.
