Fuel issue

Asked by Jul 16, 2017 at 04:38 PM about the 2003 Ford Focus ZTW Wagon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car will crank and run for a few seconds but then
shuts off. I now have raw fuel running out of the
exhaust pipe in rear.
Also noticed a steady stream of fuel dumping in
intake right below the throttle body.

Sounds like you have a leaky fuel pressure regulator. Pull the vacuum hose off, does fuel come out? Time for a new one. I would say a leaky fuel injector but it sounds like you have copious amounts.
