Brake fluid? What is it supposed to look like when good or bad?

Asked by Chelsiemarie94 Oct 19, 2019 at 09:05 PM about the 2013 Chrysler 200 LX Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I got a brake fluid flush service done the past
Thursday, 10/17, and today 10/19 at another auto
center, I got an oil change done. However, when I
got my oil change done today, during the
inspection they are telling me that my brake fluid is
dark and I need to get it changed/flushed. How is
that possible when I just got a complete brake fluid
flush service done 2 days ago? ( It’s possible that
they may have overlooked it on Thursday as I had
1,000 total worth of services done ). I’m worried
that they forgot to change it since this auto place
is telling me to change it again. Can anyone tell by
looking at this photo? This photo is from me
opening the hood and taking a look myself. It looks
okay to me, as the fluid is clear, but I’m not sure as
to what color it is supposed to be.

It wasn’t serviced, take it back to where it was suppose to be done and show them. If they are a good shop they will do it right.
