Diagnosing a Blower Motor

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2013 Ford Explorer PI. The blower motor is
not operating. There is no air coming out of any of
the vents at any speed, but you can barely feel the
A/C and heat when the car is motion. I replaced the
main relay, labeled blower motor relay. I know there
is a TSB but can't seem to find any other info online
about this issue. Any advice?

Have you checked the blower setting switch in control assembly?

It can be done by undoing wiring harness to it and crossing with paper clip to the four setting,s,but i think your blower motor may be bad, very seldom does the control assembly go bad.

I'm having the same issue, tested blower motor & know it works. When it's installed doesn't seem to get ground can that be a relay?

Does Ford Explorer have multiple blower motors my rear air vents are blowing but defrost and front vents not

Yes, our 2013 Ford explorer limited has a front (main) blower and a rear blower. If you have 2 separate controls (front & rear) that's a good indication it has a blower for both

There is also a fuse and relay for both. The owners manual has a diagram and label for both.
