I have an 06 dodge charger v6 no hemi...and they
say the engine is blown...mechanic said the oil
pump stopped working...now when the car starts it
makes a loud knocking noise...this happened as i
left work..i got on the highway the steering wheel
tightened up on me and car slowed down and ahut
off all of a sudden...tried starting it and it was a no
go...mechanic is stating its going to cost me
roughly around 1400 for a used engine and 450 for
labor...is this good or not
Wow he must have a good source for engines, like stated above, hopefully it is a good engine and won't require any additional work to get running. Very good labor price. I just wonder if this is a regular automotive shop or just a guy that likes working on cars as a side job and is not worried about overhead costs.
