2011 Ford Fusion

Asked by Jul 29, 2017 at 03:56 AM about the 2011 Ford Fusion SE

Question type: General

I have a favor to ask of you. Please share this
post!!!. Last Saturday I had an issue with my 2011
Ford Fusion door handle not working properly.  I
had to open my door from the outside handle while
inside the car via the window. Then while running
another errand, I couldn't shut the door properly
and had to tie it to the back door in order to drive to
the dealership.  The dealer did fix the problem
(Thanks Schicker/McMahon Ford).  But I do
believe that this should have been a recall instead
of me having to pay out of pocket. I did contact the
Ford motor company to discuss this issue and was
told to keep my receipt in case this does become a
recall in the future, in which then I would be
reimbursed.  So I am asking you all to contact the
Ford motor company if you have also experienced
this or a similar situation with the 2011 Ford
Fusion. Reason: If enough complaints of this
nature are collected by them , they will issue a
recall and reimburse anyone who had this problem
in the past as long as you have the original repair
receipt. Note: there is a recall for some Ford
vehicles with this problem ( but not the 2011's).
Ford motor company Phone # 1800-392-3673
select option #1, then option #4, then option #5.  I
appreciate you all for taking the time to submit
your complaints.  Thank you.
