2010 Chevy Equinox

Asked by LSSEquinox Dec 29, 2018 at 05:17 PM about the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The car was put on at the machine at O'Reilly's and
it registered that it was going lean. What could be
some of the things that could cause it to go lean?
And its causing it to be dry or fuel! What could it
possibly mess up if not fixed soon?

Lean fuel mixture might be related to low full pressure, caused by clogged filter, bad pressure regulator or a weak pump. Fuel pressure can be tested at the fuel rail I believe. I won't hurt it to run it lean but I think I would first replace the fuel filter if it's more than 30K miles old. Next I would do a pressure test.
