You have a oil leak. One could clean off the oil pan so it does not smoke, oil and road grime, and you could try some seal softener in the next oil change. Due to the age of this vehicle the seals probably are brittle. and the seal softener will help slow down the oil leak. Just ask at your local parts store what they would recommend for softening the seals. Also the engine should be looked over to make sure something can be repaired to stop the oil leak, like valve cover gaskets or a oil pressure sending unit.

I have that same model and year and my leak was at the oil filter bracket. The seals on the part that you place the oil filter on failed and I replaced them. Everything is ok now. Make sure you keep checking your oil level.
