2005 Jaguar XJ Vanden Plas. I have tried to lock the driver's door using the remote transmitter in both the single-stage and two-stage positions. I can lock all other doors and set the alarm, however, the driver's door remains unlocked. I can lock it by putting the key in the keyhole. Is this an issue of transmitter programming or am I missing something regarding how the doors operate.

I'm not sure what you mean by the single-stage and two-stage, my remote (2007) just has lock and unlock. Anyway's I am curious, Do all the doors lock automatically when you put the gear shift in drive?

Yes, steveq, I believe they do when in drive. I will confirm. By single-stage and two-stage, I mean that you can change the settings for the doors to unlock with one press of the 'Unlock' button or with two presses.
