Why won't my 1991 Chevy Silverado C1500 start?

Asked by Sep 10, 2017 at 06:46 PM about the 1991 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Standard Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've replaced the in-line fuel filter and cleaned the throttle body(w/o
uninstalling)
It's stalled while driving, during acceleration. I've replaced all sparks and
wires. It seems to be a fuel issue but I could very well be mistaken. My
reasoning is because sometimes, when trying to start, if I pump the gas
pedal repeatedly and quickly it will fire up, almost struggling to do so.
Sometimes not, leaving me asking for a jump start. Even then, it might fire
right up 1st try and sometimes multiple tries. Fuel pumps fine into the throttle
body but I have yet to test the pressure. She only has 108k miles so maybe
time for a new carb? Thanks in advance to all you Gurus out there
