Reduced engine power

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car starts then I can hit the gas pedal once
then dies out I bought a new pedal and took
the throttle body off my husband car to see
if that was the problem and still the same
thing but if I clear the check engine light it
will run until the check engine light comes
back on can someone tell me if it's my
computer or what

You can go to most parts stores like autozone and rent the scan tool to read the code or codes that will tell you why vehicle keeps shutting off.

Check for a blown ( ETCS ) Electronic Throttle Control System fuse. Check owners manual for location of fuse in fuse box . If no owners manual go online and type in owners manual for year, make and model of vehicle will take you to sites for manuals for your vehicle.
