Oil pressure gauge 07 Tahoe

Asked by Sep 23, 2017 at 09:45 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My oil pressure gauge went off on the dashboard. I
replaced the oil pressure gauge. And now the light
is not coming on but the oil gauge on the
dashboard is still showing zero, any thoughts? It
was working before but it fluctuated in between
about 20 and 0 and now it won't even move. The oil
level appears to be fine also.

Probably ruined the stepper motor in the gauge, they can be repalced but you have to disassemble the insturment cluster to get to it, not a job for a novice as it does require some delicate soldering, you can get the motors from eBay and there was at one time a repair station that offered insturment cluster repairs on eBay also, or check around where you are located and see if anyone is doing it locally.
