Kia Sorento 2006 Starter problem!
So I have a kia Sorento 2006, I replace starter after a month its doesn't wanna
work anymore. I hit it with a rubber hammer and it works about once. I was
thinking a bad starter or would I need to space the starter or is it the flexplate?
Most likely, you have a burned spot on the starter motor; that's why it moves when you hit it. This causes resistance as it passes brushes and causes the starter to stop there; like brake pads. Once on the dead spot, starter doesn't get electricity, but enough tries heats the spot just enough to let juice go around it. Replace the starter..... Alternatively, you might have a defective ignition switch.
