Truck won't start

Asked by Lori Jul 18, 2017 at 02:13 PM about the 1999 Mazda B-Series B2500 SE RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm  a single mom, so I don't kno much bout this.  I
just had a brand new starter put in bout a month
ago. Two weeks ago,  I noticed the truck sounding
like if the battery is drained,  but only in the
mornings when I first turn it on in the day, it clicks
a few times,  then starts.. then no problems. Today,
it was completely dead,  no click,  and not even the
horn worked. I got a jump start,  we waited bout 20
min,  and it still didn't turn on. But now the horn
works,  and it clicks,  sounds like it's gonna turn on,
but then it doesn't. Any ideas?

Your battery is probably dead. You can get a jump start but you should have the battery and alternator tested which most auto parts stores will do for free. Do make sure the battery connections are not loose or corroded.
