Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 98 golf 2.0. I took a.dvd player out my
dash to sell it to a guy and after i removed it an
went to leave the car would crank but not start. I
didnt hear the fuel pump cutting on so i replaced
the fuel pump and nothin still just cranked over. I
put and new pump relay in and checked the fuse.
Then i tried jumping the number 5 wire and number
6 wire on alarm plug and still just cranking over. So
i pulled the pump hooked it to battery to see if the
pump was working and it turned. So can anyne tell
me what to do next cant figure out why the fuel
pump is getting no power
