Upgrading and boosting HP

Asked by Aug 18, 2017 at 10:28 PM about the 1991 Ford F-250 2 Dr XLT Lariat Standard Cab LB

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 1991 F-250 with a 351 Windsor and
I really don't have a clue where to start with
upgrading horsepower. I've already put duel
exhausts and it has no smog control
whatsoever, I can tell a difference with that,
but what else can I do to it? I never grew up
in a car upgrading place so I'm in the dark.

High flow aftermarket heads, cam, headers and intake manifold can give you a lot of HP. Do you want towing power or a hot rod?

More of a hot rod.

If you want a lot of power upgrade to a Cleveland engine. Check out all the goodies at Summit Racing.

Look up a complete engine build on a hot rod magazine website for all that you will need.

Alright, thank you much.
