F150 4WD wiring or electrical issue

Asked by May 24, 2017 at 06:05 PM about the 1994 Ford F-150 S 4WD SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1994 Ford 4WD was blowing a fuse
when changing from 2WD to 4WD. The last
time it blew the fuse, I replaced it with a
bigger fuse (all I had on hand) to complete
the change back. Before I got home, There
was a burning wire smell.  It is now
apparently stuck halfway in between 2 &
4WD, the right front tire seems partially
locked in. I have taken my whole dash apart
searching for wiring problems that would
have caused the initial fuses to blow, to no
avail. Any answers or ideas on what I
should try from here???
