I have a 1990 Ford F150,,,the brake lights,turn signals and head lights
work,,,the dash lights,,dome light and taillights dont work...The fuses are all
good,,the bulbs are good...How can I fix this
Most likely it is a short caused by aftermarket electronics or a loose ground. Electrical problems can be some of the most time consuming (and therefore) expensive fixes to make. I would suggest checking the electrical harness from the battery to the ECM port for your lighting system. Best of luck!
If the instruments work but the light associated with them do not check for continuity between the ground and positive first. Checking the continuity for the tail-lights is the easiest as there is usually a ground buss located under the vehicle, oftentimes near the rear end. It's easy to spot.
Thank you sixfootsix_car_guy and OJ,,Ill try these out
