Car not shifting smoothly more of a jerks when it shifts. Looked under the hood and see fluid on engine cover looks like maybe oil not to sure dried up due to heat

So it sounds like you don't look under your hood any to check the fluids at least once a week. You would be better off going to a tranny shop so they can plug in and run solenoid and pressure tests on your tranny, this really sounds like shift solenoids getting sticky from varnish but they can tell you for sure if it is just solenoids or something deeper inside the tranny.
