Won't start

Asked by May 22, 2017 at 02:33 PM about the 2001 Pontiac Grand Am GT1

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 Pontiac grand am GT1. I replaced the
fuel pump about 3 weeks ago and after that it still
wouldn't start. I could hear the pump so I looked on
line and it said reset the security system, which I
did. Now just at random times, leaving the grocery
store, or running in somewhere it won't start and I
have to do the reset alarm thing again and it will
start. Is there anything I can do to bypass this
problem all together?

Unfortunately no. With a security system problem it's best to let your local GM dealer fix it. HTH. -Jim
