If you can find one the system that has the switchable system is very nice. It will have an AUTO mode, 2WD mode, 4HI mode and a 4LO mode. You can use the 2WD in normal weather, switch to AUTO when you decide the roads are indeterminate of the surface, ie snow, heavy water, then switch to 4HI when you have to travel on snow but under plowed conditions or light to medium powder, then switch to 4LO when conditions get really bad and speeds are not going to exceed 25 to 30 mph. I have this system in my Yukon and it has really proved itself this winter so far. As with any 4 wheel drive, tires are very important, so get with your tire vendor and discuss with them the conditions you have to drive in and I'm sure they can help you with the best possible choice.
