In addition to describing your symptoms with more detail, what were the reasons for replacing both the alternator and battery rather than just the battery? Are the symptoms you have now exactly the same as the symptoms you had before replacing the alternator and battery?

Everything else works, lights, horn, radio and well everything but the starter. After finishing the installation it gave halfway attempt at cranking then died at that point I replaced the battery and nothing since

I replaced the alternator due to the battery going flat. Charged the battery and it ran until the battery was discharged.

If your battery is fully charged and you don't hear anything when you turn the key to START, you might have a bad starter solenoid or starter relay, but be sure all your battery and starter wiring connections are clean and tight - including both ends of your ground cable.

I was thinking the same thing about the starter. All the connections look clean and tight. Just hoping for a yeah da fix

If you are getting power at the small terminal on the starter solenoid when the key is in the START position (and the starter does not crank the engine), then there is something wrong with the solenoid.

I'm going to put it the air again and start checking the starter. Thanks

Well after a day of chasing, replacing and testing nothing has changed. We checked the key switches,ignition/starter switch, starter, starter relay and all the fuses.

What happens when you apply 12 volts to the small terminal on the starter solenoid? 1. If the solenoid is good, applying 12 volts will cause the starter to engage and begin cranking the engine. 2. If the solenoid is bad, the starter won't do anything when 12 volts are applied.

Removed and bench tested the starter, it's fine. I'm thinking it's the neutral safety switch. Now i need to locate that.

I've been thinking the same thing after seeing a few videos on YouTube on Ford Focus vehicles with the same starting issue as yours. Good Luck.

New Neutral safety switch installed nothing .I jumped the starter got it to roll over key switch on its not getting any fuel as well so there's an interruption somewhere that affects both the starter and the fuel pump .
