Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 89 buick century.  My question
is.  Is there a difference between map
sensor and maf sensor on my car?

Yes. The MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor senses engine vacuum. This tells the computer the amount of load the engine is under. The MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor tells the computer how much air is being pulled into the engine through the throttle body. HTH. -Jim
