2004 trailblazer 4.2 high engine temp at low or no speed

On 2004 Chevy trailblazer 4.2 engine temp
gets high when driving slow or stopped
when air temp is higher temps sometimes .
It was getting hot prior to new fan clutch
now temp teaches 245 or so . iOS that to
high a temp ? There are no codes and
check engine light is off

245 is a bit high. Running temp should be in the 220 range. I would verify coolant is topped off and verify proper 50/50 mix. It would be worth having the cooling system flushed and fresh coolant put in if the high temps persist.

Do everything mark said and also check your fans. This sounds like your fans might not be working. Fuse relays also.

Verify you do not have any air in the system. This will hinder flow.
