Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi I have a 1990 f-250 with a 460 big block. I just
put in a new starter and now it has a loud tick...i
don't know what it is any advice would be
appreciated

A loud tick or clunk usually means a chipped tooth on the ring gear if automatic trans,or if a standard the flywheel.

Excuse me, flex plate for an automatic, ring gear for a standard. Got my terminology crossed there.
