Engine light battery light is on car sputtering won't
go after putting gas in 20 miles later hesitated and
blowing black smoke please help

If the check engine light is on, then there will be a code stored in the computer, If you can try to take the car to Auto Zone, if there is one near you and have them pull the codes for free. This will give you a good starting point of the issue you are having !

Sounfs like you have 2 different issues. One the charging system and the other Evap system. U might've overfilled tank
