Truck code indicates missfire on
cyllunder 4.  changed coil packs,
but still reads cyllinder 4 missfire.

A misfire can be caused by a lot of things. It can be spark: bad coil, bad plug or wire. It can be fuel: clogged or defective injector. It can be mechanical: defective valve or something else in that cylinder. Get it fixed before it damages the catalytic converter.
