I have a Subaru Legacy sedan 1996

So my Subaru Legacy takes a while for it to flaking to
reverse I'll put it into reverse sit there and push on the gas
but I won't move anybody know why

First, check transmission fluid and see if it's low. If so, fill it properly and this might solve the problem. If the problem persists, it's mechanical; could be the reverse clutch or the control solenoid.
