The fuel gauge reads empty when it full

Alot of times u can go to the fuel pump assembly and find your 5 volt supply wire for the float and jump it in the ground wire and if your gas gauge responds then you need a new float lever

Thats what the float does its potentiometer or variable resistor, so low ohms or a direct short is typically full and high resistance or an open circuit is where u get ur empty reading
